This
year the Christian Aid week campaign focused on the plight of women in Sierra
Leone, too many of whom die in childbirth due to lack of health care.
In
Haslingfield we raised a magnificent £2,374 in partnership with our friends
from the Methodist Church and the Catholic community. This will be greatly
increased by those who kindly completed gift aid forms.
All
Saints’ hosted a wet, but enjoyable ‘Big Brekkie’ event and a very moving
ecumenical Christian Aid service.
Many thanks to all of you who supported Christian Aid week by collecting, counting, serving food and by giving so generously to help the world’s poorest people.
