Haslingfield Choir

Amongst other events, All Saints’ hosts Haslingfield Choir’s spring and autumn concerts which are popular, very well attended and offer a wide scope of music, both choral and occasionally instrumental. The (unauditioned) choir is made up of Haslingfield residents and some from further afield. At times, local children and dancers take part. The choir was established in 1971 and is now under the direction of Paul Jackson.

Recent exciting news is that the choir has been selected for one of the seven national Adopt-a-Composer Awards. Along with an orchestra and children’s choir they will perform a work composed especially for them, in the church in December.

Even more exciting is that it will be broadcast on BBC Radio 3 in January of next year. Watch this website for details!

The choir meets for rehearsal during the autumn and spring terms in the village Methodist Church on Tuesday evenings, 8 pm to 10 pm. If you would like to find out more, please contact Kate Dickens via the choir’s website.
