When you lose a loved one we would like to be of help in any way for those who are bereaved. We will be very happy to conduct a funeral service, whether or not you or your family are regular worshippers. A church funeral can be followed by either burial or cremation. Please contact Reverend Becca to discuss funeral arrangements.
Time to grieve
Grief and loss is a part of the cost of loving and indeed of simply being alive and giving of ourselves to others. It is helpful to know a little of the process of healing which we go through. This will reassure us that the intense grief which we feel is natural. Members of clergy and the church’s pastoral committee are very happy to keep in touch and support you in the difficult months which may follow after a funeral.
Butterflies
Butterflies is the bereavement group that serves the whole of the Lordsbridge Team. It is run by Gill King and is a group for bereaved people which offers friendship and support at what can be a difficult time. The name implies a changed life, but one which still has worth and hope, values we aim to promote. Sessions comprise informal chat over tea and biscuits, plus an opportunity to reflect on a particular aspect of loss. It is open to anyone who has experienced the loss of someone close to them, no matter when that occurred or what that relationship was. We aim to provide members with a network of people they can turn to for mutual support and understanding.
We meet in the St Peter’s Church Parish Room in Coton on the first Thursday of each month at 2pm. If you feel that this group might be helpful, or would like to encourage anyone who might be interested, please contact Gill King on 01954 211691 for more details.
