The twelfth annual walk In the Steps of the Bishop was somewhat different this year in that we did not have access to Gonville & Caius College in Cambridge to start the Walk. So instead, it started and finished at Haslingfield Church and the walkers followed a route around the village. Fourteen walkers managed to raise £745 which together with Gift Aid of £170 makes £915 towards refurbishment of a triple classroom block in Magomero, where Bishop Mackenzie made his base.
We hear from the Headmaster of the Bishop Mackenzie School that they are able to reopen this week by alternating classes on different days.
