Saturday 26th September
For the past 11 years this Walk has started from Gonville & Caius College in Cambridge and ended at Haslingfield Church in commemoration of the link with Bishop Charles Mackenzie (see the memorial window in the south aisle of the church).
This year, because of restrictions caused by Covid-19 we will not have access to the College, but instead will have a village-based walk of about 2.5 miles starting from the church after a brief service at 11am. The Walk will end at the church and if walkers bring their own refreshments it may be possible to leave these guarded in the church for the end of the Walk. At all times social distancing will be observed.
We have recently raised monies to help with the renovation of a triple school block in Magomero, Malawi but a shortfall remains. If met, this will enable MACS (Malawi Association for Christian Support) to re-allocate funds to other similar projects. Forms for sponsorship or donations will be available from José Hopkins, Walk Organiser (872190).
