We were the guests of Fred and Doreen in Eversden for our July meeting. Because they have a nice large garden we were able to play boules and have a barbeque. It was a lovely warm dry evening so we did not need to retire to the tent except to eat. The very smart summerhouse made an excellent bar.
Fred and Doreen’s friends were a great help: Derek did a grand job of preparing the garden and doing the cooking while Beverly helped with the food and clearing up. A good time was had by all. No champion boules players presented themselves, but the food, drink and the company were more than enough.
