The Christingle comes from a German tradition and our annual Christingle Service in Haslingfield on Christmas Eve marks the start of Christmas for many.
We usually welcome hundreds of people into All Saints’ Church, where people take part in a short service, celebrating Christmas and learning what the different parts of the Christingle mean, and enjoying the oranges and sweets afterwards! This year we will not be able to gather in the church for the Christingle Service, but we are very excited to offer again our Christingle Trail.
Starting at the Methodist Church from 3pm On Christmas Eve, household groups can book to start the trail at different intervals to 5pm. Follow the trail to build your own Christingle, ending at All Saints’ where the Christingles will be lit with carols playing. We look forward to marking the start of Christmas together through our Christingle Trail this year.
Please book your timed ticket for the Christingle Trail, using Eventbrite: https://haslingfieldchristingle2021.eventbrite.co.uk Bookings open on 1st December.
