The work on the west end of the nave is to shore up some stonework high up and supporting the rafters. In the process of repairing the stonework, the plaster was found to be very loose. It has been removed and a decision will be made whether to reinstate plaster or leave the original Ashlar Stone exposed to allow it to breathe. Major cracks have been pinned and filled with lime plaster.
