Once again our Village Harvest Festival Service was very well supported by our congregation and the members of the Methodist Church. The church was beautifully decorated with autumn foliage and during the service the children (ably assisted by Richard Gilbert) made a harvest loaf.
Those who attended brought along a wonderful display of fresh produce which was given to EACH, the East Anglian’s Children’s Hospices. The many packaged food items, from a list provided by the Cambridge Food Bank, were taken along there the following day.
The Service was followed by a bounteous “Bring and Share” Lunch in the church which was greatly enjoyed by a crowd of 65 of all ages.
What a wonderful way to thank God for his bountiful gifts.
