Haslingfield Choir was founded in 1971 by Margaret Houghton and since this time we have been performing two concerts a year in All Saints’ Church, one at Christmas and another in the spring. Since 2017 our musical director has been Paul Jackson, formerly Director of Music and Performance at Anglia Ruskin University. For the concerts we are joined by Haslingfield Orchestra, drawn from a pool of the best Cambridge musicians and wonderful soloists, many of whom have gone on to perform on a wider stage, notably at the Royal Opera House.
The choir is friendly and welcoming and we are always happy to see new members. No audition is necessary and you don’t need to be able to read music! We rehearse on Tuesday evenings at the Methodist Church.
Our new term starts in September, so why not come along to a session and give it a try?
