Songs of Springtime, Friday 17 March, 7.30 pm at Dry Drayton church. A seasonal concert of choral and instrumental music with Cantores Chamber Choir. Organ and Choral Director: Jeremy Wong. Confirming your faith as an adult or young person.  There will be a special service of ‘confirmation’ locally on March 19th at which you can affirm your Christian faith publicly, with others, if you have not yet taken this step for yourself.  We can also arrange baptism, if you have not been baptised, for the same purpose.  Please contact Alison for a chat as soon as possible if you think you might be interested.

Sacred Space: A Season of Nurture, 12 March, 7.30-8.30 pm based at Dry Drayton church. Sacred Space is a gathering for contemporary, contemplative worship and prayer, run by a team from Lordsbridge and open to all from the villages of the Team and beyond.

Sung Lenten Evensong with Vox Cantab, in Barton church Saturday 1st  April at 6.3pm .

Oral recital at All Saints’ Haslingfield, 7.30 pm Saturday 8 April, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the dedication of the organ, Richard Gowers, King’s College, Cambridge, will be giving an organ recital.   Admission on the door £10, interval refreshments.
Music in Harlton- Choral Evensong in Harlton Parish Church on Palm Sunday 9th April at 5.00.pm, which will last about 45 minutes .

A Diocesan Festival with Churchwardens’ Admissions, 4 May at Ely Cathedral. 2 pm to 5.15pm –  Afternoon seminars and Admissions; 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm – Evensong; 6.30 pm to 9 pm – Evening Seminars and Admissions. The two Churchwardens’ Admissions in the Cathedral will be replacing the regular practice of holding several services in each Archdeaconry. You are invited to accompany your Churchwardens to this exciting programme of seminars and stalls.

WCCYM Weekend, 10th to 12th March at Horstead Centre, £75 (early bird), £80, booking is now open!
Thirst, 14th May at Comberton Baptist Church, 6pm start with a meal and finish by 8.30 pm. Our youth service for anyone of secondary school or sixth-form age. Eat…worship…talk…pray…

The next openings of Hardwick’s popular church and community cafe, Pippin’s: coffee and company, is Sat 4 March 2017, 10am to 12 noon.

The Faraday Institute at the Cambridge Science Festival

“With events from astronomy to zoology, the 2017 Cambridge Science Festival welcomes everyone to explore, discuss and debate Cambridge Science through talks, hands-on activities performances, exhibitions and films. We are delighted to have a presence at the following four events at this year’s University of Cambridge Science Festival.
1-Exhibition Showcase , Monday 13 March: 4:00pm – 6:00pm, at St John’s College Old Divinity School, All Saints Passage, CB2 1TP. Interested in the Big Questions of life, purpose and meaning? Meet the team from the Faraday Institute and explore the interaction of science and religion, from AI and identity; genome modification and human dignity; to the wonders of the living world. 2-Screening of a recording of the play “The God Particle”, Monday 13 March: 6:30pm – 8:30pm, St John’s College Old Divinity School, Main Lecture Theatre, All Saints Passage, CB2 1TP. Quote: The God Particle is a romantic comedy with a hint of sci-fi from award-winning co-writer of BBC1’s Miranda, BBC3’s Bluestone 42 and Radio 4’s Another Case of Milton Jones. It’s deep, smart, and very funny. 3-Science Festival Choral Evensong , Sunday 19 March: 5:30pm – 6:30pm, at University Church, Great St Mary’s Senate House Hill, CB2 3PQ. A traditional service of Choral Evensong according to the Book of Common Prayer in the University Church, with a visiting preacher, to celebrate the Science Festival. Giving for Life, Saturday 27 May, 10 am to 3 pm at St Mary’s Church, Ely – Bishop David will be running a Quiet Day for clergy, LLMs and Deanery Synod members on discipleship, generosity, and making a difference. Bishop David suggests The Archbishop’s Lent Book, Dethroning Mammon as perfect background reading for the day. No charge but please bring lunch or eat out in Ely. Book a place via the Bishop’s office.
