What does All Saints’ spend the money on?

Our principal area of expenditure is ‘ministry share’. Clergy are paid directly by the Church of  England; we pay a ‘ministry share’ to the Diocese of Ely as our contribution to the cost of clergy  and their accommodation in the area, safeguarding and training. Another major area of  expenditure is insurance of our medieval church, with building costs, administration costs, and churchyard maintenance making up the balance of what we spend.

In addition to our regular expenditure, we have a responsibility to restore and maintain our medieval grade 1 listed building, an expensive and ongoing problem.

The church accounts are published annually, and the way our money is spent is monitored regularly by the church’s elected representatives on the Parochial Church Council (PCC).
